Visual Journal
Introduction
In college I took a visual journalism class that involved going to various events and spaces and drawing from life, trying to record the scenery and people. The final project was to compile all of the images into a final book of sorts. I set out to make something that encapsulated the experience of being in Baltimore at that time.

Process
I used various pens to do sketching in person and often would have to draw moving people and objects from memory to get the scene. For the book, I colored each drawing with 3 different color schemes to mark time of day, and reflect the brightness of the color of the scenes in the light. The final result was a 20 page book or zine containing all of the colored sketches in order of occurence. These are some excerpts.
