Portraits
Introduction
I've been practicing portraiture since I was in high school. My first artistic love, I've adapted my style to incorporate more bold colors and design elements. I like to play with facial features and lighting to create compelling portraits that are as unique as the subjects.
Process
Typically I work off of several reference pictures to come up with unique compositions and maintain an objective likeness of the subject. I use various methods and drawing rhythms to achieve an atelier style drawing of tone and line before adding color and filters to complete the image. All of these portraits were done using Procreate for iPad. Some of these were commissioned as website or social profile pictures with specific color palettes in mind.
